At the end of your meeting/conversation, what do you want people to walk away saying? How do you want them to feel? How do you need to be, in order for others to leave your interaction feeling inspired and connected?
Best selling author and founder of the Leaders Shift Project Shani Magosky discusses these questions in this latest podcast. Shani explains how people will remember how you made them feel, more than what you said. She advocates having a "to be" list, as well as a "to do" list - How do I want to show up? What mindset do I want to have when I'm communicating? Be intentional, plan to be enthusiastic, transparent and vulnerable in your communication. Vulnerability brings connection and psychological safety, and is the number one indicator of a high performing team. The more people feel free to voice their ideas, the more ideas from within a team, and the greater the benefit to the organisation.
