#73 Susan McKee | Authentic leadership in action
Monday Jan 10, 2022
Monday Jan 10, 2022
Today I am interviewing Susan McKee who is the CEO of Dental Health Services Victoria.
Susan shares how she has a passion for leading in the healthcare sector in an authentic way, and how these practices of leadership can truly inspire, motivate and make people feel valued. At the heart of her leadership is communication, and as a result of the pandemic this has increased significantly, looking for ways to connect with her teams, not just in zoom meetings but by creating a vulnerability in her leadership that then creates a safe place to work, so her team feel they can share where they are at really. The pandemic has also been an impetus for continued innovation and stretch in delivery of new services and approach, as Susan says "never waste a good crisis". Susan leadership is a prime example of authentic leadership in action that makes a difference to the organisation and people.
